Seawater Aquarium Cooling ⚠️ Wrong Chiller Will Cost You Big Money

For owners requiring cooling for seawater aquaculture, keep these key points in mind!

Seawater contains salt with highly‑corrosive chloride ions. Ordinary iron, stainless steel and copper tubes cannot withstand corrosion. Corrosion and perforation may easily occur. Equipment failure will directly harm aquaculture and cause heavy losses

① Special treatment for pipeline materials Use external‑PVC plus internal‑titanium‑tube structure at water inlet to resist salt‑water corrosion. Standard chillers cannot be used directly.

② Thicken titanium tubes under high‑salinity conditions If your aquaculture water has high salinity, thickened titanium tubes are recommended for better corrosion resistance and longer service life.

③ Closed‑type cooling tower is preferred For water‑cooled systems, choose closed cooling towers. Its heavy weight resists strong coastal sea wind. It also prevents contamination by seawater impurities and protects the condenser.

④ Centralized cooling for large‑scale farming Adopt centralized cooling solution for large‑scale projects with screw‑type chillers, which deliver much lower energy consumption.

Seawater application is a special working condition. Never use ordinary chillers. Corrosion and water leakage will bring high maintenance costs.
